What is a disperse dye?

2021-12-08

Disperse dyes are a kind of dyes with small molecules and no water-soluble group in structure. When it is dyeing, it must use dispersant to disperse the dye evenly in the dye solution to dye polyester fibers.

Disperse dyes are small molecules and do not contain water-soluble groups in structure. They are uniformly dispersed in the dye solution by means of dispersants. It can be dyed polyester fiber, acetate fiber and polyamide fiber, become a special dye polyester.

Disperse dyes can be roughly divided into disperse orange, disperse blue, disperse yellow, disperse red composition, can be several different disperse dyes according to a certain proportion of collocation, get disperse black, disperse green, disperse purple and other disperse dyes.

Disperse dye in the commodity of processing, in order to make commodity dye can quickly dispersed in water uniformly stable colloidal suspension, dye particle fineness must achieve 1 micron or so, in the process of sanding add dispersant and wetting agent and disperse dye post-treatment processing generally have sanding, spices, spray drying and packing. Post-processing process to use a lot of additives, such as lignin, MF, anti-sedimentation agent (SOS), dustproof agent, dispersant NNO, but also add sodium sulfate to adjust strength.

Disperse dyes are one of the most important and main categories in the dye industry. They do not contain strong water-soluble groups and are a kind of non-ionic dyes that are dispersed in the dyeing process. Its particle fineness is required to be about 1μm. After the preparation of the original dye, it is necessary to undergo post-processing, including crystal stabilization, grinding with dispersants and other commercial processing, to produce commercial dyes. Mainly used for printing and dyeing polyester and its blended fabric. It can also be used for the printing and dyeing of synthetic fibers such as acetate fiber, polyamide fiber, polypropylene fiber, chlorine fiber and acrylic fiber.
